Inside a 1920s heritage building in Bandra, Saffron House serves contemporary regional Indian cooking made with seasonal produce, slow-cooked spice, and quiet hospitality.
Saffron House began as a single counter on Hill Road, run by chef Ananya Iyer and her grandmother's spice ledger. Today it lives inside a restored Bandra bungalow, but the philosophy hasn't shifted: ingredients sourced from small farms, masalas ground in-house every dawn, and a menu that changes with the season.
We don't believe in heat for its own sake. Every dish is balanced — tartness, smoke, sweetness, depth — and built to be eaten slowly.

"The galouti is the best I've had outside Lucknow. The room is intimate, the service quietly attentive — exactly what Bandra was missing."
"Came for an anniversary dinner. They remembered our names from a previous visit two years ago. That tells you everything."
"A masterclass in restraint. Each plate has only the elements that need to be there. The wine pairing is genuinely thoughtful."
